Modern Strike was founded in 2014 by Jeremy Martin as an innovative online training platform, designed to help aspiring athletes access professional coaching from anywhere. What began as a digital vision has since evolved into a dynamic, in-person experience offering tennis and pickleball instruction across multiple cities.
At the heart of Modern Strike is a passion for the game and a mission to make racket sports accessible, fun, and empowering for players of all ages and skill levels. Today, a growing team of certified coaches carries Jeremy’s energetic coaching style into communities throughout North Carolina and beyond — helping players grow both on and off the court.

FOUNDER & HEAD COACH
Jeremy Martin — Founder & Head Coach
Jeremy is a Certified Tennis and Pickleball Instructor through the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), with over 15 years of teaching experience. He grew up with tennis — learning the game from his father, competing in tournaments from age 8, and playing at the collegiate level alongside his brothers at North Carolina A&T.
Jeremy’s Journey
From backyard matches to global courts, Jeremy Martin's tennis story began before he could even hold a racket.
Born into a family passionate about the sport, Jeremy’s father — a former college player — passed down the love for the game to all five of his kids. By age 8, Jeremy was competing in tournaments, and by 9, he had his first win under his belt.
He rose through the junior ranks, earning titles like:
South Carolina Junior Davis Cup Member (Top 3 in the state)
2003 SC All-State Team
High School All-American Tournament Finalist
Continuing the family legacy, Jeremy and his brothers played at North Carolina A&T, where he became a 2x All-Conference selection.
